A New Ducati Panigale V4 Sp2 V4 R

Ducati has not yet completed the presentation of its model range for the year, and the Italian manufacturer suggests that we will see three more model announcements in the coming weeks.

Ducati announces three release dates (and therefore probably three new models) and has virtual launches scheduled for September 17th.

What models could Ducati bring to the market? After the detective work of Motorcycle.com, we have a good idea of what two of these three motorcycles could be.

On the download page of the Ducati Owner’s Manual and on the Ducati Austria technical data review page, the Italian brand refers to the Ducati Panigale v4 R and Ducati Panigale v4 SP2 motorcycles.

According to the expected, the Panigale v4 R

For those who are collecting points, a new Ducati Panigale v4 R was a motorcycle that we indicated in our forecast for the recent new web series of Ducati motorcycles. Therefore, it is not surprising that the launch was delayed for several months.

The calendar allows Ducati Corse to obtain the necessary feedback from the world team riders at the last test in Portimão and to ensure that the homologation special sold to customers provides everything the World Superbike team needs to win.

Therefore, we would expect updates for the chassis and engine, although it is unlikely that there will be a drastic change from the current Panigale v4 r.

We expect that the Ducati Panigale v4 R will include new aerodynamic elements from the Bologna MotoGP program, as well as an updated electronics package.

The motorcycle will probably have the ergonomic changes that can be found on the Ducati Panigale v4 road motorcycle to keep the range constant (but this is not necessary for the WorldSBK).

A formula for success, the Ducati Panigale v4 SP2

These ergonomic changes mentioned above will probably also be present in the new Ducati Panigale v4 SP2, where the designation SP2 probably means that Ducati wants to adopt the Panigale v4 SP concept and update it with the changes already made for the model year.

This means a revised tank and seat design, as well as an improved front area with more travel and softer springs.

The ” SP ” treatment also means that we will certainly see carbon fiber wheels and bodies on the machine, along with a dry clutch clearance. We can only guess whether Ducati will proceed with the “Winter Test” decoration executed for this equipment version.
